Dismal Swamp to Norfolk, VA

This is the Dismal Swamp Canal (DSC) and it was worth the trip.
There are two locks and two bridges in the DSC.

We stopped at the visitors center for Lisa to do a bio break.

A nice Benny for the Super.

Here we are waiting for the last bridge and lock to open to leave the Dismal Swamp Canal.

Check out the digital camo painted on this ship. We are now in the Norfolk, VA harbor.

Two attack carriers are in port.

There are some very cool boats in this harbor.

This is an amphibious carrier in port for work.

This is a tour ship that is docked at our marina.

Adrian is a homeless woman who lives near the marina. She has two "junk yard dogs" for protection

I called divers to see if I bent the prop in the Dismal Swamp. I could not run over 1500 RPM without a vibration on my starboard prop.

This is the culprit a two inch diameter line from a tug.

I helped Greg remove his 21 year old A/C unit.

Greg has just had his man card taken away after I found his screw driver.

Anyone call a cab?

Even though Norfolk has small tides they do have tide gates that could close if need be.

The statue shows the understanding Norfolk has for Navy family's.

This cruise was docked right next to our marina.

If this policeman looks familiar it's because he's the diver that worked on my boat.

What do you think the Navy is hiding on this ship?
