Oriental, NC

As we leave the Town Creek Marina in Beaufort, NC we found a sail boat aground. Tow Boat US is helping them.
Only two hundred miles to Norfolk, VA.

On the way to Oriental we saw this. One tow boat was pulling and the other pushing what ever was in between them. Our RADAR just showed the two tow boats.

This is the entrance to Oriental, NC.

Going into Oriental Marina we had to dodge anchored sail boats.

It looks like my son Jeff is "Chief of the Boat" on this trawler.

Sue myself and two other guys had to haul lines to get this sail boat unstuck in the marina. They tried to back out too close to the end of the marina.

The guy in the sailboat to our port side had line 1 of three to help out the stuck sail boat.

I was on Line two after I moved my bow to the port as far as I could.

Line three was run to the trawler in the free dock.

It looks like this lady might be speaking Italian.

This guy also got stuck for a short time.

The guys drinking coffee at "The Bean" gave the sail boaters scores on docking.

Not all the docks are OK.

This is really a small marina.

This fishing boat is getting ready to leave early.

The following four pictures show you how they like to build their lawn chairs in Oriental.
