Manasquan Inlet, NJ

We have been stuck in New Jersey for four days waiting for the Nor-Easter to stop. It looks like we’ll be able to leave for New York City tomorrow. We entered the Manasquan inlet and had to move through the Point Pleasant canal about five miles to Brick NJ. The reason was that the docks and tides by the inlet were not to our liking. Check out how we had to get on and off the boat at the Comstock Marina.
Comstock marina is really a working marina selling Silverton’s’ Pursuit’s and other fishing boats. On the Barnegat Bay old houses are being torn down and replaced by expensive summer homes.

This is a beautiful area. We walked Lisa in this area every day.

Lisa is not sure of this mail box.

There are a couple of bridges in the Point Pleasant Canal and water that can be very treacherous due to the currents remaining turbulent in the ebb and flood pattern from the Atlantic Ocean with little slack water in between. It is important to stay on your toes when on the canal, luckily it is a no wake zone.
The water where we are docked is shallow and clear with the tide currents being very strong. We can see several starfish under our boat.
