Manasquan, NJ

In New Jersey they use floating buoys to mark a “No Wake” zone.
Some areas of the NJ Inter Coastal Waterway (NJICW) are very pretty some are very shallow. We went from 15 miles/hour to zero while we were in the middle of the channel having been stopped dead by a shoal in the middle of the channel. We may have a small ding in one of the props.

One might think this is deep water but not so a boat hit the marker and did the damage.

This is how they wake board in NJ.

We saw windmills along part of the NJICW.

This little cove looks like it has deep water however the boat is in deep trouble.

A view of Atlantic City from the ocean about 5 miles off shore. That day we traveled from Atlantic City to Brick, NJ on the ocean a 65 mile trip, The NJICW is just too shallow even at high tide.
We had about one hour out of three with two to four foot waves on the outside.
Manasquan, NJ has some nice beaches.

We had to take the Point Pleasant Canal to the Comstock marina where we are now waiting for good weather to head out to the ocean and then on to New York another 55 miles at sea.
