Delaware City, DE

Once we were back on the bay we ran into several sailboats with the numbers on the sail starting with NA. These are midshipmen from the Naval Academy.

We are now heading for C&D canal which was built to move ships from the Chesapeake Bay to the Delaware Bay. Along the way we saw this neat changing room on a private beach.

These ships mark the entrance to a small river where the Delaware City Marina is located.

The marina is just ahead. We spent the night on the fuel dock. Delaware had the highest fuel prices yet, $4.00/gallon. Just ahead is a low bridge where local kids were jumping off. The temperature was in the 90’s.

Lisa was happy to have the day of boating over.
